Hello,

I am currently in Pensacola, FL. I found the macroalgae in the photo, but do not know what it is.

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Looks like an algae covered an algae. Can the fuzziness be removed?

Its a photosynthetic gorgonian with algae growth off surfaces. Requires high flow, phytoplkankton for feeding and moderate to medium light.
Being delicate, you dont want to pull algae off of it but rather, utilize cleaners such as:
Carribean blue leg hermit (theyre tiny), Astrea and dwarf cerith snails

I do not think it is gorgonian because it does not have polyps. There is lots of it in the bay and looks exactly the same. The branches are translucent.

I may be looking at wrong object. Can you repost a clearer pic assuring glass is clean as pic is very bright and a tad blurry
