can you install Ecotech backup battery upside down?

It should be a sealed battery, I don't see any reason why not.

Mine is upside down without issues. For some reason, they made it with the logo upside down. Weird? Anyways, my cords are on top.

Replacing the battery on Ecotech battery backup...

It was super easy, and cost me around $37. The battery was $34, and the machine screws were like $1.50. I was going to buy a brand new one, and then I realized that would be a huge waste of money. The power supply works fine, the battery inside the backup was just toast. After a little research...

Pics show it is a sealed battery and Ecotech's manual doesn't specify any orientation requirements. Call them tomorrow and you should be able to get a quick answer

Did you have it mounted over your sump? I'm struggling to think of how else battery acid could get into the water.

I have one of mine mounted with the plugs facing up, no problems. I don’t have mine over the tank so even if the battery did rupture, nothing would get into the water. I do worry a little about water drips getting into the sockets if they are facing up.

Not sure. When it goes out it reduces the output on the pump or whatever is connected to it. BRS did a video using MP10s and one lasted 76 hours on the battery backup.
