I'm thinking about getting a FT frag, and I was wondering if anyone has kept them under PC lighting? If not, do you guys think it will be fine with PC's?

Your risking a 300 doller frags death by using them, i belive yes people have kept "chalices" under pc's, but thats not somthing i would be willig to risk do to i know it wont thrive under these condishions

I agree, but only if its true that they won't thrive. My thing is... alot of people who have chalices say that they keep them shaded because halides and t5 are too strong for them. They don't even require high lighting. In fact, almost everything i read says low to moderate light. Anyone else have any opinions on this? Becuase I'm completely uncertain about it.

How many gallons is your tank and how many watts are you lights? Im going to have to say yes you def can, a chalice is a chalice, yes its more colorful but if its near the top i dont see any problems with it at all.

Some of the best chalice colorashion i have ever seen was in t5 lighting not in the shade

Agree I know people that have kept chalices under PCs with good results.

Its a 29 gallon Biocube with upgraded lighting. It has a total of 144 watts. 2 36 watt actinics and 1 36 watt daylight and 1 36 watt 50/50. It seems like it should def be ok, EVERYTHING I read says they require low to moderate light. Hell, I have a montipora and it thrives high in my tank. Don't they require moderate to high light?

Thanks for the back up crew :) yup i agree now after you reading us the stat line you can 100% keep a chalice in your tank. And yes everything ur reading about chalices is correct
