Can you keep power supplies in a junction box?

Hi All,

I'm thinking of alternative storage solutions since I lack the space to build a proper mount board. I was thinking of placing all my power supplies inside a junction box like one of these:

Then using a waterproof cable gland to seal it away from water like one of these

Would this be a problem since I believe some power supplies will get hot. Another alternative I was thinking was just popping open the holes on some of the junction box slots for air. The boxes help keep everything orderly with less cable octopus mess.

I think you can use a box, actually, most any kind of box (preferably water proof). But I would also be concerned about the possible build up of heat. That might not be an issue in terms of fire, but it could lead to premature failure of a power supply.

I actually went so far as to add a 2nd cabinet (stand) so my sump/refugium is in one and my electrics are in the other. This was taken as the addition was being finished. All the power supplies and controllers are under the DT.
