So, I used to feed SUPER heavy to my plate corals which all died....then I thought I would try one last plate and I decided to rarely feed it. It's doing amazing. Have you ever experienced coral deaths from feeding way too much? Especially processed foods like pellets?

my corals such as acan and scoly would puke the food out if i over fed them with pellets, but not the chalices.

i have been feeding ym chalices every night for the past week. its working great. my oregon mummy eye has popped a new eye and grew alot more rim, and my sc pink fame's 2nd eye which you could never see but i knew it was there cuz it ate, popped through and is now green all day long, and they all look fat and happy with tenticales out all day long. they would probably eat 4 times a day if i feeed them.

I have fed my chalices almost every night for over a year they are all fine. I have found though a few foods will irritate a coral if it lays on there to long. I have also lost a plate due to my tang found food in its mouth and decided it wanted to pick at it to death. Only took about two days for him to get it to the point of no return.

Maybe that's what happened to mine because I had a lubbocks fairy that was picking food out of their mouths.

yup, food that cant be broken down in time inside of the coral will decay and cause problems so be careful : )

i feed my chalices almost everyday as well. They seems to like it. However, my acans only like target feeding not more than 3 times a week.

can you over feed a human? Lol yes! except with corals if they are full they just wont open to feed anymore. although i can feed my acans like 4 times in one night :)
