Can you quarantine fish in a bucket

Hey guys so i think one of my clowns might have internal parasites and i dont have a quarantine tank, so as a quarantine tank i was just going to get a bucket and put a filter and heater on it and fill it with tank water so i don't have to cycle it and medicate the fish. Will this work?
