Can you recommend a complete water test company?

I recently saw a good video from MD reviewing three different water testing companies. I’d like to get R2R’s thoughts on what’s worked for you.

I’m 16 months in. Experienced my fair share of ups and downs. Figured this would be an ideal time for an in depth look at just what I’ve got. After all, we are in the water management hobby. These things they call fish and corals...that’s just lagniappe.

I’d appreciate your input.

I like ATI purely for the reason they test RO/DI water as well as tank water. Used it once when I started my tank as a baseline. Never tried the other brands.

I've watched the video I mentioned two more times since my post. And ATI is actually the one I was narrowing down to. 43 samples tested, $40, with recommendations on what to do for changes. Its the average costs with that little extra from recommendations thrown in. Also good they do the RO test. That's something I've not considered. Really a good idea. That could be a source of something I've never considered.

ATI also pays for the return shipping with your test vials. I just sent off my first test on Tuesday they received it Thursday and I should have the results next week. I watched the video your talking about and I think I’ll be staying with ATI.

Also good they do the RO test. That's something I've not considered. Really a good idea. That could be a source of something I've never considered.

yes and no. I've seen folks try to solve problems based on that info that are not problems since folks have no good idea what levels of what are OK in RO/DI water. Look close enough and you'll find every element in most any water sample.

if you get a result that makes you want to do something, check back here first before potentially wasting money.
