We just got this torch today and once putting it in our tank we hate it. It looks like fancy aptasia

has anyone had experience returning or exchanging coral to a LFS? Is that even a thing? It was $500 and looked way better in their system. On the plus side we got a beautiful pink encrusting chalice as well! I’m pretty sure she said it was called pink *******, it’s like glowstick pink and purple underneath.

the one time a coral looks better on my phone than in the tank

I’m sure if you explain to them, and they want your business, they would give you a store credit or something.

You can ask , wouldn’t hurt, but if it looked good in their tank enough for you to buy, maybe give it time to adjust to your tank and light.

Typically no, but can ask. Just don’t get offended if they look at you like your cray cray

It might color up. It’s looking a little bleached to me. Is it whitish/translucent in person? Gold torches tend to look the best under blue light.

As for if you can return it, I think that would be dependent on the LFS. Do you shop there often? If so, they’ll probably take it back.
