I know this might seem a tad bit cheap, but I hate burning through tons of water doing TTM quarantine.

Per this study, ich and velvet tormonts die at 104 degrees for one hour.

Technically speaking, if the water was heated to that temp and maintained for an hour, the water would then be sterilized? Could go a step further and boil the water for a short period. Would lose some of the water content due to evaporation, but a little RO to top off and you'd be back in business.

With a beefy enough heater, the tank could be heated to 104 and maintained, thus cleaning the entire tank without having to tear down?

Are there flaws in my logic here?
