Can you use equipment after breakdown from Dino's

Whats up guys will be buying a used tank

The guy mentioned he battled Dinos but decided to just shut down


Is it safe to use it after Dino's or will it make it to the next tank

Yes. I vinegar and light bleach then sunlight everything anyway.

Dino's are actually kind of a good thing. Better than some alternative really. And a common animal in the ocean apperantly. They just die off in tanks usually early on unless there are real probs. Beacause of the silicates. And it really seems that's rare.

Is the tank still up and running? If so a little elbow grease and good maintenance will take care of the problem. If the tanks been broken down then a good thorough cleaning is all that should be needed!

If it's completely dry I'm pretty sure you're in the clear. You may want to ask that question specifically though, because I'm not 100%.

Do a freshwater soak of everything. dinos suck, you don't want them.

I would use vinegar like others said to clean equipment, then do a full freshwater soak (dinos form a cyst when issues arrive, this will help against them) let it dry completely and you should be okay. I would personally add some bleach and let the tank run for a few days
