Hey all! I've had a 55 tall for a while just running a canister filter, but I've finally upgraded to a full fledged 120 with a sump system. I'm currently curing the rock, and I had to sell my 55 to make space. I sold it with most of the livestock, as I acquired them second hand and didn't have a big emotional attachment. But I did have a handful of little inverts and a starry blenny that I hung on to.

I've never setup a sump system or anything near this size I decided to get a 13 gallon nano tank to hold my small stock I was keeping, with plans to turn it into a quarantine tank after. My concern is that the tank is too clean, that my stock may starve as almost all the inhabitants feed on algae and detritus. They've been in there a month without incident, but is this possible? Can a tank be too clean? Below are the details.

13 Gallon nano cube
Skimmer, bio balls, carbon, sponge media
40% water change weekly
.5ml dose of NoPox daily
Fed daily 1 pinch of Hikari Marine S pellets

Stock
x1 Starry Blenny
x1 Medium Hermit Crab
x2 Fighting Conch
x2 Super Nassarius Snails
1x Turbo Snail
1x Torchlight coral

What are you goals with dosing NoPox? Are you fighting high nutrient loads?

If you're concerned about the herbivores not getting enough food you can always put a small piece of nori in the tank for your scavengers to fatten up on.

Yeah I was fighting some algae, and I just kept a small maintenance dose to keep it at bay. Do you think dosing NOPOX daily even in such a low amount could be detrimental?ip

And I do have some nori, I'll add it for sure, thanks!
