Canada Fish Help

Have you got a tank from Miracles Aquariums? Just wondering on quality will be buying 180 gal.

I don't own one just yet, they are who I'll be going with for my next build. There are lots of members here who have them and there quality seems to be only rivaled by Reef Savvy. Plus there customer service is top notch, one member here in I believe Iowa received his tank with a small leak in the overflow and the owner of Miricles flew out and fixed it in his home. Concept Aquariums here in Calgary is another good builder, cheaper than Miracles but from what I've heard you need to be very VERY specific with them when ordering and make sure they know EXACTLY what you want. They always quote on the lowest possible price so make sure they know what you want in every detail.

Here's a thread when I asked R2R about there thoughts on Miracles vs Reef Savvy

Read through the thread and it looks like most people have had good experiences. I would like the tank as soon as possible so I will still go with Miracles despite Felix's outstanding work. Miracles still sounds nearly or equally good to his work though. I just contacted them about my quote going to be getting a 180 gal. Very excited! Do you know how long it takes for them to respond? Don't know if you've contacted them.
Thanks for linking me your post!

I most definitely have contacted them and spoke with Derek both times. Very knowledgeable, both quotes were sent out within a 1-3 days of me submitting them and all my questions were answered fully. While not seeing them in person there are more than enough owners who have vouched for them. Excited to see your new build take place, maybe I can talk my girlfriend into letting me get my new one going lol.

Concept is a mixed bag, but to keep it short, you get what you pay for. If going with Concept, only deal with Dave (owner). And yes, you have to hand-hold them through the build process, but the prices are far lower than anyone else. My build thread has some comments on the experience, it wasn't smooth but they were in a bit of a staffing change-over since the main tank builder to deal with (Denny) passed away.

I am overall happy with my tanks, but there were some things overlooked / not as I expected, with the sump specifically.

I love J&L's always great service, and never lost anything in shipping!

I've had the same experience. Will comment on quality when I receive the tank shortly.

For others, my second go around with Concept (frag tank sump) was much better. The woman handling their tank build orders now (Ashley), was on the ball.

Indeed, it's been awesome dealing with Ashley. I hope Concepts implements a form for customers to select different options down the road. I've conveyed this to Ashley/Dave - nothing secret here. There's about 40 variables one could add to the list (e.g., one-piece euro or not, drilled euro or not, bean animal drain or other, types of valves, etc.).

Surprisingly there are a lot of vendors who don't have a form to fill out with all the options available and there are a ton of them. I felt a little weird even asking Derek at Miracles if a one piece Eurobrace was even possible.

Concept definitely got a great new employee with Ashley, shes great to deal with in person as well as through emails and over the phone. She came from Pisces Pet and was great there as well.
