canary & lawnmower blennies

Would a lawnmower and a canary blenny be compatibly in one tank? My tank is 34 gals.

I wouldn't to small. I have read in tanks 90 gal or more they will go after each other till one dies.i only keep one in my 180

Maybe, but lawnmower blennies are very hard to keep in smaller systems. The survival rate just isn't there.

That's what I was going to post too. They eat a LOT. If you could stay on top of feeding it nori you could offset that but that's been my experience as well. In a larger system there's just no end of algae for them to graze on. They'll strip a smaller tank very quickly.

Even when I feed them well they just don't seem to survive. The only time I had any success with a lawnmower blenny is when I kept one in a small 12-gallon atoll all by itself, where it could gorge on seaweed and algae to its hearts content.

I believe it! Just trying to offer my 2 cents in case they take the plunge on the Sailfin. My system is more like 180g so our lawnmower (his name is Jabba, as were each of his predecessors) looks more like a small chunky eel.

Sailfin...? I've had three lawnmower blennies, Rigel I-III. I'm trying to work up the courage to put Rigel IV on the throne...
