I picked up a few polyps from another member of these that had lost their color in his tank. They have been with me for about a month and their skirts have colored back up nicely, but the polyp itself still has no color (light purple). I was wondering if any of yall that have had success with these could tell me where in your tank you are keeping them and what lighting you have found they have done well under. Thank you.

I HAVE ABOUT 30 of them i have them low under a 150w halide

flow is low also

i bought 2 from someone else on the boards and they havent done anything in
6 months

the 2 i bought are in low light and high flow

Are these Candy Apple Reds? They were sold to me as Psychadelic Palys. Some Zoa afficionados told me that they are Candy Apples. They grow like weeds in my tank.

i have some and i keep mine up high and in high flow under 150w...when i bought them they were just dull in color and after a few months they looked great..plus they grow pretty fast

Thanks yall. They are in my 14g Biocube with 72w of PC over them, so I might try putting them up high in the tank.

Candy Apple Redds enjoy the bluer spectrum lighting... and they are fairly fast growers IME... :)

i agree with marvin when i switched bulbs from 10ks..mine seem to like the bluer light alot more
