My candy cane has started dying off from the bottom, This is surprising as (knock on wood) all my other corals are doing great.
stocking:
Montipora
Pocilopora
couple others just can't remember their names.
Green wall hammer
purple green tip hammer
2 elegance corals
A tube anemone
Some zoa and other softies

Tank specifications:
Red sea reefer 170
deltec skimmer
jabao rw4 wavemaker
hydra 26

Water:
no3: 5
salinity: 1.024
kh: 9
calcium: 425

I really don't know why this is happening to my candy cane and would appreciate if someone could help me out, The coral was placed really high up in the tank so I suspect it may be sunburnt

I think you’ve answered the question mate, candy canes on top under that hydra is not a good thing, probably worth bringing them down near sand bed to see if they can still recover.
