Hey guys,

I recently got a couple of trial run corals a mushroom and a candy cane.

I got the candy cane coral as you see in the picture. I'm new to coral and wanted to see if the stem is supposed to be this color. The heads on the coral are not dead and have not changed since I got them.

This is just a temp holding in a QT tank for now. This tank has been up since May last year.

Could it just be algae? Just want to make sure.

Hello here is same frag now he really hasn't gotten any new heads but his current ones have grown very large and he has developed a darker area. Wife is worried about him. I'm not sure if that head is darker on bottom because the rest of it is so large that its blocking the light or what. Ignore gha lol

The bottom part does look a little funky imo, check parms and look for potential solutions. Candy canes are super hardy so the little guy should be back to normal in a few weeks
