Hi all.

my candy canes are receding from the bottom up (if that makes sense) is there any specific water params i should check for? I've read about low to moderate flow and light.

i do sometimes target feed every head on raw prawn, but haven't done that for a couple of weeks.

any idea's .

it looks as though it trying to get away from the algae that was at the base......but not sure

sometimes they may get a bit of mysis or brine when feeding the fish...but otherwise no.

Its not necessarily receding due to stress. My teal trumpets receded from its base as it got larger that way it can grow outwards an into more of an umbrella. This may just be typical growth patterns as it may be getting ready to split heads. Look on the heads and see if there are two mouths growing. Also I feed all of my lps especially my candy canes the lips sinking pellets .5mm and they love it (its rewarding to see them swell up 3 times the size)

thanks for that...i'd say all the heads were doubles.
so i can feed them pellets? thats good to know. i have a tub of era that my fish don't like....ill try that.
