I feed mine mysis every three days. They mash the shrimp lol.

I honestly thought it was too big a piece. It did expel a bit of soft shell (from the shrimp) at the end but looks super happy tonight. Should I be feeding pods to my candy cane? Or will it take small pieces of mysis/brine?

Mine will eat either phyto plankton or mysis depending on what I feel like feeding them. How big are your heads? Mine are like half dollar sized or bigger. When they were smaller I would feed them phyto.

The 4 heads vary in size when fully open. Maybe the biggest being a quarter and the smaller a dime. I’ll order some phyto as I don’t have any on hand and I think the zoa colony I have will enjoy it too.

Oh yeah for sure man. My zoas live phyto. I actually just got up and fed mine while we were talking. Zoa spread so much faster when fed as well. Petsmart and Petco have phyto if you have one near you.

I’m so new so it’s all just fantastic. I’m thinking about surrendering My cleaner shrimp as he steps all over my zoas and was aggravating my torch today while it was eating. The guys too big for my tank too molted like 6 times already. Sucks cause he’s active. Corals over CUC any day though.
