This is what they look like when my parameters are off. Thankfully they can tolerate a good amount, but I would check parameters to see what is off.

Its not normal, and they do look unhappy.
Would need a lot more information about your tank in order to offer more suggestions.

Well I had to move and glue them 2 hours ish before the picture so I didn’t know if they would still be closed

mine broke off its plug and i found it upside down on the bottom...after repositioning it took overnight to look happy again
