Im getting ready to cure my live rock with a heater and wavemaker in a 65l plastic bin.
If i use my small canister filter in the bin too would this help or aid my tank cycle in any way?

The only benefit I can see in running a canister filter while curing rock is if you treat it like a reactor and load it up with carbon. Take out any bioballs/ceramic tubes/etc, and put in some carbon. The carbon will help in removing some of the organics that will be coming off the rock during the curing process.
