Cannot figure out what's wrong

twice per week water changes will have a big swing effect on your dKh (and more) especially if you're using a reef specific salt like Reef Crystals. You might discontinue that and stick to 10% weekly if you feel like you need to do that.
Also Vetteguy asked about RO. You should have that tested too especially if you're doing a lot of water changes. IF you're making your own RO you must test it. I would normally add a "IMO" after that but in this case I would say its essential to send out a test if you're making your own RO at least initially when using new filters or when you first get into making RO. This is discussed in the video that was posted earlier, which is a great video "IMO" I know you've got a lot of experience so apologies if you already know that, but if you haven't had your RO tested and you're using it to make SW it could be enlightening info...

No I appreciate all help. I have been using the same mountain water since 2017, seem to have happened all at once 9-10 months ago. Haven't changed any thing. Have been using RO all this time.

Maybe you can teach me something new as this is just an inquiry, why would you change your sand out, all your parameters seem in check.. normally things go south when you start screwing around with the substrate but that's what has me wondering myself why you're having this issue but yet your parameters are good

How many gallons of water are you changing out at a time?

When your having problems and havn't figured what is wrong, you have to try things that you probably wouldn't do normally. The sand bed was 7 years old and I have read many times here on R2R that people have done just what I did because of buildup pollunts in the rock or in the sand strata. I only double water change twice trying to lower maybe unscene pollunts in the tank. Some that has been trying to help, got hung up on the double water changes, I only did that 2 times, trying to see if that wuold help. i have seen many times, on R2R others doing the same thing. I have 90 gals. total water, sump and d/t, not counting dislayment of rock and sand bed. i change 10 percent 1 time a week. I changed out the sand months after I started having this problem. I'm sorry I gave the empression that I was screwing around trying to figure the problem out. Thanks

0.02 is to low, coral are Hungry.
PO4 at minimum should be 0.03 or they are actually losing it.
Your right, I double checked and it is actually 0.05, yes I know that is high but it won't kill coral. My typing skills leaves a lot to be desired. Thank you.

0.05 is perfect, not high.

So what are all your other readings? You changed po4 twice already.
Be honest.

If you use dry rocks, it could be leaching something. I started my tank with dry rocks and rocks from someone’s tank, having lots of issue of Corals dying within 4-6 weeks for more then a year and parameters are pretty much in check, checked everything and replaced almost everything(media, pumps, hoses, etc..) but the rocks. And finally decided to change all the rocks(everything) with ocean live rocks from Tampa Bay, coral skeleton with algae growing on them is coming back to life with plys and newly added coral stop dying. Assuming you have no issues with your tank’s parameters.
