This is kind of crazy... but... I’m doing some maintenance on my RODI unit replacing filters... three of my four filter canisters on my RODI unit I’ve got off, but one of them will not twist off no matter how much pressure I apply. I nearly blacked out putting so much pressure on it, lol. I went and got an easy twist jar opener from the kitchen for some leverage, but that didn’t work either.

I’m at a loss on how to get this thing off. Anyone have any suggestions?

Go buy a pvc pipe that fits over the tools handle and use it for leverage like a breaker ball. Remember to only hand tighten them and use a silicone grease on the threads and o-rings to avoid this in the future.

Try using an RO/DI canister wrench. They are cheap & spread the load, so you don't risk cracking the filter housing. Big box stores carry them or online also. HTH
