Cannot Grow SPS on one particular rock

What ever I put on one particular rock it dies, Grows great in other parts of the tank but on one particular rock nothing seems to grow. Doesn't matter what it is , So I turned the rock over . What do you think? Flow is the same as the surrounding areas , light is the same. Its just one rock about 5 x 5 inches in diameter. Remove it ? Don't know

That's bizarre.... what kind of rock is it? Maybe high metal content?

Where is the rock located? Perhaps it could it be a lighting or flow issue. Too much or too little of either or both?

May be its a hot spot or really low par in that area.

It's a kryptonite rock. I had one of those for a while. Only thing you can do is throw it away. No giving to a new reefer...
