Can anyone with the same camera or very similiar tell me the exact settings I should be using when trying to take great macro shots of my corals. I am experimenting in the manual mode as the Auto mode I find is very limited.
Thanks,
Adam

Adam,

Turns out my daughter has this camera, so I just messed with it and here's the best you can do,.

Set the camera to Macro (the flower icon), ISO HI, Flash OFF.
Do not zoom, it will kill the macro functionality. Unfortunately thats about all you can hope for from that camera. It's a great PNS but it'll keep you wanting for really great shots.

Here's a couple I snagged from the BioCube in the kitchen. I flicked the lights on real quick to snap these for you.

Feel free to PM me if you need help. Marc

I have the Canon Powershot A720 IS.
I set mine on SCN, "snow" setting (snowman icon), Macro, and no flash.
I still have a lot to learn about the Manual setting tho, so there may be better ways to use it, that's just what I've found so far.
