I've always felt that the canon white balance overtakes the nikon. This was personal experience. Both take amazing photos, but the canon is best for beginners imho.

I don't really think there is much of a difference between Canon or Nikon or really any major camera mfr. Still, can't help but want to share.

I'm just learning how to take fish pictures but I'll bite. Nikon D7000 before changing to white sand.

Am i wrong in thinking alot of these pics are taken later in the afternoon/evening with mostly just the tank lights on or is there more of a blue tint to most everyone's lighting. The pics I'm looking a here seem so real like I'm standing there at the tank.

Also for the Nikon users I have a D7000 with 18-105, 55-200, 70-300 & 18-300, non of which have a low F-stop, was wondering about a good macro lens. I'm seeing alot of talk about 70, 90, 140 etcetera. Any suggestions or feedback on what I have. I also plan on reading all the Photo lesson threads here on the forum.

I use a Tokina 100mm macro lens with my D7000. It doesn't have many bells and whistles but it takes good photos. The Tamron 90mm is also quite popular.
