So, the front canopy door has a piano hinge on it. When I work in the tank, I prop it open, but sometimes I accidentally knock the brace and and the door swings down and slams into the back of my head! I need to keep all the brain cells I can, so that's got to stop!

How do ya'll hold your canopy doors open?

My doesn't have doors and just folds back in half. Do you have a pic of your canopy? Maybe we can come up with a good solution for you while we wait for others to post their solutions. [emoji16]

Ahhh I hate that but I don’t have a canopy but I can open the glass part of my trunk and it smashed down on my head a week after I got a concussion lol. I’ll post pictures of something u can use in a few. I’ve only had one of the thing I was talking about fail on me once but that was because it was on my boat and it got rusted from constant contact with saltwater and it was the cheap version of it lol

You can purchase vertical cabinet door supports that hold themselves up. Used in kitchens mostly would solve your issue although not exactly designed for salt water use aren't crazy expensive and are easy to replace.

I don't have a pic of the canopy. I'll take one when I get home from work.
