I'm wanting to build a wooden canopy for the Innovated Marine 50G rimless tank (something small and light weight). So, I'm just curious if anyone else has tried this and have had success. I realize, there is the potential of splashing water on it. I'm more or less concerned about it setting on top of the tank and causing harm to the tank

I built a wood canopy for a 90 gallon aio that I got secondhand a few years ago. It looked great and worked really well for what I wanted (hiding ugly black box lights).

Below is what a came up with to hang the Radion G4 xr15 pro (made out of scrap wood that I had. I may add some decretive molding to it, just to make it look a little better.) across the new IM 50.
So, I was able to transfer all my fish and corals over to the new IM 50 from the Fuval flex 32.5 G.
And, I'm really satisfied with the new reef, a lot more room now for a few more fish and coral.

I have one more Radion xr15 pro was debating if this will need 2 lights. Currently its only set for 60%. And, plan on having only lps corals, but that could change.

I recently made a canopy for my rimless out of PVC sheets. Fairly lightweight, and you don't have to worry about moisture.

What did you use to fasten the panels together?
