ati stratons are really nice, they have a flatter shimmer as opposed to the more caustic shimmer lines of the kessil (more personal preference for what you might like).
At 28" wide and 60" long 2 ati stratons are also a great choice. IDK the mounting height for the ati straton so double check on that but 16" is usually more than enough room for led (didnt see that before that would be tough for metal halide)

Yea, I'm likin the Stratons for the moment. It's more $ than I wanted to spend but from the reviews I've seen they're pretty awesome. And no fan noise, low heat. Really gonna have to give these a hard look.

you will probably want to wait for the straton pros to come out as that will probably drop the price of the regular stratons a bit, or go with the straton pros outright. No idea when they will release in the us though

Straton Pro - Has anyone else caught this teaser?

While cruising the YouTube this morning for my waterchange background sound I found this ATI is releasing a Straton Pro. They barely could produce enough of the already existing version to get a mass opinion on the light. I wonder how this will fair. Looks cool though!

FYI, dedragon makes a point about the stratons having little shimmer, but the pros have a ton of shimmer. Almost kessil-like tbh. So if you DO want shimmer, Straton pros are the way to go, if no shimmer, then the standard ones would suffice. If you skip through this video (maybe to about the hour mark) you'll see the intense shimmer I'm referring to.

The key with these lights are the blanket of light they provide. You'll be getting full coverage with no shadowing a lot easier with way fewer lights than a radion g5 or even a neptune sky.

Those look pretty sweet, I think the Straton is definitely a front runner for me. But I do have plenty of time to look at other options and change my mind.
