Just found these critters underneath my sponges and rock. I have never seen anything like it before. There not doing anything, but there are quite a few. They don't move or pulse, but they are getting bigger. Any ideas?

Phew!! Thanks so much...was scared it was something terrible. Are they hitch hikers?

Sponges grow either by accidentally introduce or already on the rocks. They grow fast when water parameters are in line and stable. They can die when expose to air too long.

Thanks again. Now that I know what they are I've been doing some research on how to get rid of them. They must have come with the live rock from Indonesia.

I'll just pluck the ones that I can get to and take it as it comes. A lot of people on YouTube like them and say they're beneficial I think they're ugly.

i let them grow in the sump/overflow but not in display lol theyre great little guys though

Lol I don't have a sump, which a lot of think bad of me. My system is very simple, but works. All water parameters are on point. I have a 75 gal tank. I'm keeping the ones I can't reach since they are in the display.
