I've tried using a net and I've tried the DIY fish trap with a water bottle. I let the bottle in for hours this morning and he didn't even seem interested at all, just my shrimps and tang were the only ones who tried. I've read about using a very small hook and fishing line but I'm worried I would catch my tang or clownfish and harm them, they are always the first to come up when I feed.

besides draining and removing everything to catch him, the hook is your best bet, clamp down the barb in case you do catch one of your other fish you can release them with out a torn lip. This is the way i caught a evil blue green chromis. took 5 minutes to were the other method (fish trap) took hours without result. i used a size 22 hook i think.

This what I used to catch my un-wanted fish

Ill try the fish hook later on today, I'm pretty sure I have some very small hooks. What did you use for bait? Mysis? Krill? Human Finger?
