Hey all, can not decide which return pump to buy for my 250L tank...
Hydor Seltz D 3000 like the look's of it and the controller (aloso got the wave pumps from Hydor)
Or
Jebao DCS 3000
What you guys think?

I have no experience with either return pump, but I do have power heads from both companies. I think either of the two will work just fine. I do like the look of the hydor better though. Just my .02

I like the The Hydor Seltz D 3000 more than the Jebao DCS 3000, just as appearance... I do not have experience with any of this brands.

I’ve had a Jebao 8000 for several years that has served me well. I suspect the Hydor is similar.

You may have trouble finding somebody that has experience with both.

Here is the difference, I assume you are talking about the Seltz D 3200. This is an A/C controllable pump vs Jebao D/C controllable. We went with A/C, because it is more powerful than D/C and it will give a constant flow, where a D/C pump can not handle the constant pressure and will drop over time. The Seltz D runs cool, quiet and has a 2 year warranty.

The hydor is better. Jebao’s have issues burning out. I would go with an ecotech though. It’ll last longer, run quieter and is generally a better pump. Buy once cry once!

Jebao used to have a 1 year warranty but dropped it down to 6 months. That’s a HUGE red flag. I’d avoid jebao in general. The wave makers aren’t too bad but the dosers are trash can food. There’s nothing wrong with the returns other than the fact that they burn out quickly. Hydor returns are relatively new.

The Hydor Seltz D is the latest for a company that has been making pumps for over 35 years.
