I found some bubbles on a piece of rock???? I have a tank that is just rock and water basically. I had big plans but found out I was moving and as I was placing the rock back in the tanks i found something I haven't noticed. Any ideas on these bubble things? No fish at all in this tank and it's been running about 2 months.

I have those two. I don't know the names of them though. I don't think they're anything bad though. Let's wait and see what someone says lol

Looks like bubble algae. Try to remove them without popping them...

I was going to say bubble algae, but bubble algae has a greener tent, so I don't know what that is.

I have bubble algae, but it's green. Looks identical just red. Or maybe it's coralline coated:D but I would like to know.

Yeah that's what I thought too... I figured it wasn't green because you had it out of the water; and maybe because of your camera. But maybe its something different. I'm not sure...

Bubble algea comes in a few varieties look up brown or red bubble algea and see if that's what it appears to be. Is it firm like bubble algea or squishy?

I would just to be safe try not to pop it. If it is bubble algea popping it can cause it to spread.

Bubble algae can definitely be red. That's what this is, bubble algae.
