Cant Find ID Online - Clear Patch on Clown

My clown has developed a clear patch right behind its fin - its transparent, no fuzz, no raised scales, no rotting. I can’t find anything like it online throughout any thread or ID database.

I had a clown a while ago that had this same patch, which I honestly just thought was a discoloration because the clown ate and swam around fine for weeks. I moved around some scape and it was nervous/hid for the next three days before passing - wasn’t sure why but didn’t think about its clear patch. They were the only two fish in the tank. Now, this clown has developed the same clear patch in a relatively similar location... Again, the fish eats fine, breathes fine, and swims around fine (perhaps too fast for picture purposes). The only coral that might sting is my torch, but melanin spots from stings look much much different.

Anyone know what’s going on?

Appears to be bacterial. Generally associated with poor water quality and/or diet. Fish also appears to be thinning.
If you’re using api test kits, you may be getting false test results.

Mysis shrimp

Add selcon vitamins and garlic extract to the foods for stamina and immunity health

He ain’t the fattest guy around, but the first picture certainly masks his stomach with the black pelvic fins. I feed him 2 or 3 NLS pellets every other day, and a few frozen mysis shrimp on the days without pellets - think I should feed more or add more variety?

As for water quality, I’m not sure where I’m currently at. I would test periodically with Red Sea kits but never read phos over .01 or nitrates over 5ppm. Since then, I’ve just let the tank autopilot judging quality off of torch extension.... I’ve always assumed happy torch = happy tank but I could be wrong.

If it is bacteria, is that something that wipes out a tank or can be fought off effectively with solid immune systems? Perhaps it depends upon the strain.
