Hi I have a 46 gallon bow front with a 20 gallon sump I do weekly water changes with salinity salt. I'm running a mp10 and AI sol led lights. I have a plug of eagle eye zoas and a big rock of dragon eye. They will open a little but I can never get them to open fully not sure if it's a light issue or flow issue or what. Just looking for some advice. Thanks.

Not sure if my light intensity could be to high or if my light itself is to high from the tank. My lights are set at (blue 48%) (royal 48%) and (white 40%) and my light is 8 inches above the water

:(Sorry to hear, gonna tag along cause I'm also experiencing the same exact issue as you. My water parameters are in check, and I have polyps not fully opened and lost of color on some zoas.

Also, I've found zoas to like medium flow... and I'm not sure that Mp10 is suffficient for a 46 gallons. Although that may not be your issue.

Something could be irritating them, like sand or crabs. Try blowing them off with a turkey baster and see if that helps.

I had a rock of green palys that wouldn't open I dipped them with melifix and they oped almost immediately after
just my experience

Have you tested your parameters lately? Too high alk makes zoas not open completely or maybe with weekly water changes you water might be too clean check phosphates.

Sorry I haven't been back on. All my levels are in check except my KH it's at 5 Im hoping that that could be the issue I didn't realize it was a little low. I put some fusion 2 to help raise the KH. I also turned the flow up on my mp10.

when my zoas dont open for days i take them out and dip them in coral rx just in case something is messing with them ive had good success with that. they usually open a couple of days later.

This is what my zoas are looking like. My alk is slowing being raised. But I feel like it's a lighting issue.
