Cant get rid of GHA

PLEASE HELP!!

I can not get rid of the GHA in my tank. I feel like i am doing everything right. I do a 20% water change every week. My light cycle is 10 hours with my peak 4 hours long.I am running a reef octopus 110 skimmer and GFO in a reactor. The filter sock gets changed every 3 days. i have read until my eyes are about to fall out and just cant seem to figure out what is wrong.

How much and what are you feeding, also how often?
With only 5 fish it shouldn't be often or much...

I use flake food and PE Mysis. I feed one or the other everyday and it is only a little. I use aquavitro fuel and brs reef chili twice a week.

What are you using for a water source? How long has this been going on? Pics of the algae?

You could really feed less every other day, As long as you have pods for your wrasse,
and cut the coral feeding down too..you don't have alot that need to be fed other than the sps...

Also maybe get your fish on pellets instead of flake...flake has alot of junk in it...

I use a 4 stge ro/di TDS meter reading 0. Swithed from a 55 to the 90 8-10 months ago ( used new sand) the alge started about 4 moths ago. Most of it is on the sand sand but it is starting to get on the rock. its is a little hard to get a good pic right now because of the blue leds

You could really feed less every other day, As long as you have pods for your wrasse,

What type of live rock do you have is it reef rubble or aqua cultured?

When I had green hair algae issues it was caused by fresh aqua cultured rock.

It took some time but my algae went away after some using phosphate removers and doing regular maintenance.

When I upgraded I did add a few big pieces of aqua cultured rock.

How long of a light cycle would you recommend?

It depends on the type of coral you have. I run my blues for 8 hours and my whites for 4. But that's because I had a bad cyano and gha outbreak and no light intensive corals in there. I'd be interested in other peoples' opinions on this.

They take care of mine. I don't have a stitch in there.
From the looks of yours, they might be afraid of that stuff.

they graze on it through out the day. I just don't thing they're hungry enough because they snatch up 50% of the mysis I put in there for the puffers . I dunno .

I have nerite snails that eat it. It takes time to get this stuff under control. Patience will pay off. You can also brush it off with a toothbrush in the tank. I do a little area everyday. I did the whole tank once and I think it threw things out of balance.

I had a big problem with gha in my 10 gallon I had bought rocks used from a torn down system not sure if there's such thing as phosphate pockets but I took out all of my rocks added some new ones while my tank is still kind of new I just have a clownfish it recycled and everything seems fine my corals are all good just goin through the brown algae phase in the cycle
