So I have been messing with my rockscape for a few days and this is my latest. My tank is a 4x2x2, 120 gallon. I wanted at least 1 small rock up front by itself to create a zoa garden. I kind of like the cave but feel like something is missing or it's just not right. Any tips or ideas would be great. I am not an artistic person, so this does not come naturally for me.
Also, what is the best way to adhere the rock together? Marine Epoxy or cement? Drilling with acrylic tubes? Where do you get the tubes? Thanks.

I really like that scape. That part does not come to me naturally either, but I do love that open cave and it looks like lots of swimming room and room for corals to grow.

I have tried regular coral sticks to hold rock and it does not work really well. I have tried the rod method and lets just say, not my thing. I did like using the E Marco 400 from Marco Rocks. It was easy to use and seemed to make a good bond. I have not done the extent you look to need, but it worked for my projects and held the rocks tight.

It looks great. The middle where you have just sand you could place a smaller rock there. Maybe use a nice piece or pieces of coral as a center piece. Driveway rods avail at the PO are solid. You can drill holes and join the pieces together. You might not even need cement. Down the road if you want to take it apart . No problem.

What is PO? I think not having the coral is why I feel something is missing, that makes sense. [emoji5] Thanks.

I really like the cave, however it seems unnatural to me. My recommendation is to create a gradual slope on the left side that leads to a point. This will create a natural look while hopefully not messing with your design choices.

See how on the far right side the rock gradually slopes into the sand? Try doing that on the left side if you have the rock to work with.

Thanks that makes sense. So what you mean is to extend a bottom point to gradually go down, instead of just focusing on the cave iteslf. I have plenty of rock. I ordered 90lbs of pukani and that was WAY too much. I'll post what I do.

Correct ! To me, it would look much more natural as part of a rock structure that connects to the cave, but play around with it and post more pics!
