Can't identify!

Hey guys I got this broken off piece of coral today, it was laying upside down in the sand, and it was going to get tossed because it was unwanted. But the tank was in pretty bad shape and i couldn't really tell where it came from, but I said why not, I'll try to see if I can get it to survive instead of it just dying off. I know it's probably really hard to tell but I was just wondering if anybody might be able to tell what it might be. (The bottom is just edited to try to get a bit more of the color since phone cameras aren't great for this haha)

Tbh I'm not sure but it could just be a really sick birdsnest.

is it soft or stony? Bye eye its either an SPS or could be a leather or softie, like a sinulara

It was relatively hard to the touch, it actually does kinda look like a sinularia, but it's pretty hard. hopefully it'll grow so we can find out what it is haha

mine looks like that now. It started as a small booger on another coral like the Op.

I might be able to find out what it is today hopefully I'll be able to see where it came from haha
