hello people,

I am soo close to give up,

My tanks been up for 9 months and I have yet to relax.

I thought the ugly stages come and go by 6 months but what is all this?

I cant keep this FT clean for anything,

I have tried manually brushing it off, tried vibrant weekley, tried dino x.

I have tried everything but cant keep this dang tank clean.

It looks like brown/green hair algae on the racks,

But rhe disks on the floor is all brown, gooey, gel feel like,

Almost looks like there are crystals in there please look are picture that has yellow circles

I sent in a triton test, should be getting the results by this friday.

You say you have yet to relax. You should. Once you relax you can clear your head and attack any problem. What are your parameters? Do you have any clean up crew? Details will really help us solve the issues. FWIW, I see what appears to be a few types of algae or other nuisances.

Picture with circles are unclear to me. I see the bubble but not the crystal. Turn off the blue so that colors can be better identified.

Looks like hair algae & cyno. Activated carbon will help remove dissolved organic carbon from the water.
DOC grows bacteria which is what cyno is. Can you remove frags and Eggcrate? If so, soak them for 10 minutes in a 10% solution of hydrogen peroxide. Can you vacum out substrate with stuff on it?

If stuff clings to a rock, then use a toothbrush to loosen it while vacuming it out. I tape toothbrush to small syphon line. Once stuff is off the rock, dip toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide and finish the job by eliminating the holdfast. Renew hydrogen peroide every 60 seconds.

The triton test should be ready by friday from what i heard

This ft, i got 2-3 snail and 2 blue led hermit,

1 yellow tang and 2 clown(will be giving these away this Saturday)

Also treated my system with chemiclean,

Since i had red cyano,

It worked and now it dont have that nasty red slime

It appears to be hair algae, cyano, and maybe bubble algae. Why are you giving away the fish? What do you have for flow?

I agree with @saltyfilmfolks ... the earlier pictures looked exactly how my coral QT looked with dinos.

Do you have access to a microscope? That will definitely confirm what you are dealing with and then you will know exactly what you need to do to battle this stuff.
