Using Hanna low range checker with fresh reagent, my phosphates have been undetectible for over three months. I think my SPS are starved for a little phosphate "juice".

Corraline algae is the only algae in my 30 gallon JBJ nano. Why would regular feeding not raise the level? I use no GFO or equivalent.

What is the level of your nitrates? You may have higher nitrates and the bacteria/coral/algae in your tank are utilizing the phosphate and nitrate and bottoming out the phosphates, as it's available at a lower quantity, in your system.

I have to top off my system, because of this. I dose Seachem Aquavitro Activate to supplement phosphates in my system.

It is being consumed by something......try feeding more :) What foods are you feeding? Have you thought about dosing phosphate? I keep a jug of mixed "phosphate water" that I can dose at anytime if needed.

I agree with @Randy Holmes-Farley

The dosing part is easy if you truly want to raise your phosphate. I personally use Seachem Flourish Phosphorus. Works extremely well but make sure you read what randy linked as it’s very easy to overdose. Take it slow!

Best of luck!

feed frozen rotifers,,(Hikari Frozen Cubes) packed with PO4 and your tank gets fed at the same time..

I just accidently put in some dry dirty filter socks in my sump after a water change. I knew something was a miss because my skimmer started going crazy when I turned it back on... I tested my phosphates this morning... .13 ppm! I had checked them about 5 days ago and they were at .03ppm.... try putting in some dirty filter socks :D
