Hi again and season's greetings to all!!
I just became really aware last night that it's impossible to ignore this hobby for long.
I went out to a local bar yesterday, tank temperature was a steady 75°. When I returned maybe 3-4 hours later it had risen to 89° so I unplugged the heater and overnight it dropped back to 81°. So it seems the 9 month old heater thermostat has packed up. The corals didn't seem to like the temperature increase, but are slowly starting to recover.
All the fish are fine, but another couple of hours and they might well have been dinner!!
