I took the apex down for a few months and can't for the life of me remember what the password is now. Well I was able to flash it to the "reset" firmware I got from Neptune and can get back in the classic dashboard with the default login. If I proceed to update to the latest firmware then it won't accept the default login anymore. When I check for the Apex in the flash utility the name of the Apex is now JVREEF, which is what I named it when I originally set it up. The name with the reset firmware is Apex. This leads me to believe that it just reverted back to where it was before. Where and how is it pulling my old settings from? I thought everything was wiped clean with the reset firmware and the update just builds on top of that.

Also if I try to update the web pages after updating to latest firmware I get an error 401 Unauthorized. Probably cause the default login password no longer works.

Do you have a Display module? If so, you can view the password under System...Net Setup...Admin Password.

I did but it c***** out. Been trying to get one off the forum here but always too slow.

Fixed. Just had to telnet in and clear the logs.

Sorry it's been so long since I did it that I can't remember. Have you tried searching google for telnet and apex? Sorry couldn't be of more help.
