Can't stop my new skimmer from overflowing!

i setup my tank today and run skimmer. cup get full of water in 1 min. water level is exactly same as company recommendation. any idea how i can solve this problem?
skimmer is red sea RSK 300

break in phase take off lid ,let super skim rt back into sump will settle 1-2 days

Remove the collection cup and let it overflow. Give it a few days.

Put it in a solution of hot water and like 10% vinegar. Should clear up in a few hours

i already did that. let it sit for 3 hours when i opened the box tonight.
does activated carbon helps? i can get it tomorrow morning if it does

nope ,just let break in will be normal soon enough

ok gonna take the lid off tomorrow and let it work all day. also will do 2-3 times feeding. maybe helps

Double-check your water level too. I just fought an E-shopps and found that the water level that the skimmer and I agreed on was very low.

I have the same skimmer and its been breaking in for a week. I have the drain line for the collection cup rerouted back into the sump to dump all the water collected. Its gotten a lot better but isn't there yet. Still breaking in.
