I suck at checking the refractometer. Can anyone tell me what my salinity is at? Calibrated it with distilled water before testing it with saltwater.

That’s 1.027, as long as your refractometer is one specifically designed for saltwater, where calibration with RODI should be ok.

Thank you, lol. I have bad eyes, so it is hard to read the numbers. Yeah, It is only for saltwater.
 
Typically salinity refractometers will not give accurate results when calibrated off of rodi or distilled water. Do you have any refractometer calibration solution?
 
In doubt i use Tropic Marin hydrometer at 25c in my 5 gallons wc, in sump or in tank... and calibrate my refracto whit it.

I will buy some. I have no idea where my bottle I had went off too. I can use tap water in the meantime.

I checked my hygrometer and it is reading about the same, lol. Should have used that too.
