I lost my reef. Rf seam split last Tuesday in the middle of the night. Smell woke me up. Lots of water damage. Don't know if I have it in me to start over.

Oh no that's horrible to hear. The set back is a devastating blow. Hopefully you can step back and plan a new and better reef. Hate to have you leave the hobby.

I am so sorry about that.Floods are awful. Was there anything that you were able to save?

Welcome home, you will love it here!

Beautiful tank, wow!

180 is a good size!

I tried to save anything that was still wet but the corals are all fading away. I lost 3 fish so far. I scrambled to set up a new 65 gal tank in my basement fish room. I had to make decisions that will haunt me.

A little light at the end of the tunnel maybe.I have had corals that beached for over a hour and still came back, eventually. You may be encouraged by what pulls through.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes and encouragement. I do want to restart someday but this stings pretty bad. This was a dream tank for me. With all its ups and downs it was really starting to come into its own and boom. Gone. Once I get my home repaired and don't have to be constantly reminded of this I may feel differently. For now, I'm back to reading about your tanks and wishing.
