So I want to ask around about capacity and something I want to do. I have a red sea reefer 250 (54 gallon display, 11 gallon sump). Currently I have a starry blenny, a clown, a ywg with a paired pistol shrimp (Magnum, with his claws of justice Smith and Wesson), a royal gramma, and a cleaner shrimp, plus some corals, euphylia and zoas. Is it reasonable to add a bta to this? I'd add one that wasn't too large but large enough to survive an adoring clown. I am religious about water changes, I do 8% weekly. Does it seem reasonable to add a bta?

Sure...have almost the same load in my 170 and added BTA just fine. After 8 months or so, doing very well. Full, not stressed, not dividing for survival...just staying put and enjoying the clown host.

Be aware though, it may roam a bit and cause some issues with existing corals...mine didn't, but BTA gonna do what BTA gonna do!

I'm going to pick my initial point carefully. I don't have the most corals at this point so that's good. I've got about 2 weeks before I can do this anyhow so i've got some time for research.
