What is the best tank placement for the ideal coloration of Captain America palys? I'm using high powered LED lighting and my tank is a 40g breeder (16" H x 18"D x 36"L). Mine are okay colored but the colors seem a little muted and aren't as vibrant as I've seen some others look.

THey are very hardy and can handle any light and any placement. i had mine 8 inches below the water and my 250w halide 20 inches above the water and they colored up very nicely!! goodluck!

I have some on my tank bed in my 150 and some midway up. They are under 150w MH.. They can go almost anywhere in my opinion..

Where do you find the best color though? I see some that have vibrant red, blue and green but mine look a little more washed out so I'm wondering if I should move them up closer to the light?

Honestly, I think it is the photographer. I have had them for years and they grow great, but they aren't a very bright polyp, just a cool color combo, IMO.

Put them in high light. I had two frag once, one was on my frag rack rlly high up and looked great! And the other was on the sandbed and looked terrible

I would agree with this. I would say both of my frags look exactly the same..
