CAPTIVE BRED TANK SETUP

It’s a bit of both. The fish grow to the tank size, but only because they are stunted and the body cannot grow more. The organs, however, continue to grow and will cause health problems later down the line. Moral of the story is that being in too small a tank will only be harmful long term.
I did not know that that's horrific

Hmm interesting, gives reason to believe fish grow to the size of tank... I thought that was a myth
It's really hard to say with my fish specifically as they were purchased at different times and different sizes. The one in my 75 is quite a bit smaller than the one I bought for my 125. The big one was a display fish at my LFS that I bought when they closed down. I thought he was done growing since he was already so big, but that hasn't been the case.

If you plan to upgrade get 1 of these this is my only captive bred fish had him about 6 months just a tad bigger than my dwarf angel
