Can someone explain to me the difference and why is it that ORAs seem to be cheaper? Also, what do you prefer?

Captive bred fish are used to prepared food, which helps. The ocean-caught fish can have a more difficult time adjusting to an aquarium. Sometimes they're more fragile because of how they were caught. Hope that helps.

I don't have a definitive answer but I suspect the scale at which ORA breeds impacts the sale price.

ORA is a large breeder of captive breed fish so they deal in volume. If you are buying from a small breeder they don't have the thousands of fish that ORA sale a month.

Does that affect the way the fish are? Or possibly increase the chances of sickness and stuff?

No many of he fish ORA raise are only being done by them. I remember back in the 60's when freshwater fish where just starting to be raised in fish farms. An hope to see saltwater fish become as strong and disease free as freshwater fish are today. Fran raised fish are use to the captive life and take well to aquariums.
