She keeps going back to the goby holes and does this to the goby. Is she trying to get shot by the pistol shrimp? We just got her yesterday. Yes we know she was sent to us with bad fins and HHLE

What is she doing?

Sounds like a tang being tangy.

She picked up right where she left off yesterday. She won’t stop Bullying him. He defends himself but she goes right back in. Hoping they settle it out.

Fish that are stressed are bullies. Fish with HLLE and fin rot usually are stressed. Freshly shipped fish are stressed too. I have not really had yellow tangs be aggressive, but they also are not stressed. Get it some high quality food like mysis and get it on pellets as soon as you can - these will help as much as anything. My guess is that you will see it chill out once it is better take care of.

Yes that is what I had figured. She is very comfy in the tank and not shy hiding. She is venturing to the top of the reef which is cool. On the mend we hope.

I'm not seeing bullying behavior from the tang there. Looks more like submission to me. Tilting to the side like that in the last video is what I mean.

Good food, flow, plenty of space, water quality will help it look better in time.

You know I've ordered three because unfortunately the first two died. The first was probably my fault, the second developed some sort off constipation or swim bladder problem. But anyways the first two were cosmetically healthy and friendly, my third came like yours about 5 weeks ago. Fins healed up fine in a few days, still has a little racing stripe hlle though. While it hasn't bullied any fish that I've seen and swims around all day picking at the rocks, its extremely skittish. Doesn't come up to beg during feeding hides very quickly etc.

all day long lol

I donth think it's bullying either. If bullied you see other fish retreat.

I got 3 yellows from biota. They came looking like yours. No color, white as a ghost. Nipped fins and hlle lines.

3 weeks later all healthy, full yellow color and no sign of lines etc.
They are in quarantine tank. I will get you a new video.

Tang probably needs company. How big is your tank?
