Needed to remove an anemone as I don't want my tank being an anemone tank, I prefer it to be an SPS tank. So tried the little plastic pipe trick and it took a day for it to follow the light and then another couple of days to attach within the pipe (although I haven't pulled the pipe out yet to see if it is 100% attached to the pipe but will sometime today). But it was a pretty painless process and worked real well.

Hi, would you describe the pipe trick? I can imagine, but have read about it and sounds neat.
@Lost in the Sauce has a good link above. I played with it enough to get it deflated then put the elbow there covering all tentacles. Good fit where it was without foam. It extends to the light and voila, you hope it attaches the pipe and then just remove it.

The trick is to get the pipe long enough that the nem has to walk its foot up the pipe, allowing it to be removed easily. If it can just stretch up the tube, to the light without unanchoring, it will.

Yep, if need be add some PVC

How do you remove the nem from the pipe?

Oh gosh, that would be one nasty snot rocket.
Another method is to place an ice cube to the foot and anemone will respond by loosening its foot and become free from surface

First thing I'll do is remove the pvc elbow and put it in it's own little compartment in the tank. THen see if it moves out of the pipe on it's own after a day or two. I can try ice, I can try using my finger to slowly remove it from the surface of the pipe, or I can just take the elbow into the local store with it attached and let them deal with it :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Tried removing the elbow this morning since it was fully displayed out of the outlet of the elbow. Apparently it was still attached to the rock, so had to add a bit of PVC to make it reach further and attach off of the rock. Trial and error until I get it!
